Walt attended Hendrix College after graduating from Caddo Magnet High School in Shreveport before ultimately majoring in English with a minor in Sociology at the University of Central Arkansas. Walt has been a board member for Young Professionals Initiative of Northwest Louisiana for the past two years, heading Professional Development and co-chairing the Finance Committee.
Walt's latest accomplishment was being named to the Commercial Investment Division Board (CID) with the Northwest Louisiana Association of Realtors. He is currently working on completing the requirements to become a Notary Public as well as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
